Priority Mail Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii Now Available!
I have noted in a previous post that USPS will not allow Air shipments of hand sanitizer without prior authorization (https://sani-kure.com/blogs/blog/notes-on-shipping-hand-sanitizer). Many people do not realize that Priority Mail is an Air service. As well, the USPS sometimes makes use of passenger flights to help get your high priority mail items to where they need to be on-time. For this reason it is very important to make sure whomever is sending you hand sanitizer is not sending it via Priority Mail services unless they have the authorization from USPS to do so.
If they have the authorization from USPS to send air shipments of ethanol solutions (a.k.a hand sanitizer), then it means they know how to properly package the hand sanitizer to prevent leakage, container bursting, or spills while in transit. They also know how to label and mark the package so that it is handled properly and with care by the package carriers. Plus, they will fill out all the Dangerous Goods paperwork which identifies the product being carried and its hazard class. All-in-all there is a lot of planning and preparation that goes into safely shipping a flammable liquid product such as hand sanitizer.
With all that in mind, I am happy to say that the U.S. Colors Shipping Department has successfully completed the application process necessary to acquire authorization from the USPS to ship hand sanitizer via Air services. This means we can now utilize Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express services to ship to domestic locations. Alaska and Hawaii are considered domestic air travel therefore we are now offering Priority Mail shipping to Alaska and Hawaii!
